29.01.2025 17:54 β π 12 π 6 π¬ 1 π 0How well does Binary Ninja's decompiler utilize Apple Silicon P-cores? Pretty well. If you're a reverse engineer looking for a new machine, opt for more cores.
Seems obvious, but I had to test. π

It turns out that activating an iPhone 3G in 2025 isn't as easy as opening up Finder and restoring. I've written up a blog post to help anyone else in this predicament. π

If you're not utilizing 150% of your available RAM, you're leaving money on the table.
Or at least that's what I tell myself so I don't need to upgrade quite yet...

Thank you for sharing! Iβll give them a read this week!

Binary Ninja is switching up how they match function signatures with WARP.

Swap is going to kill this SSD. Also check out their new DSC plugin. Works great.

@binary.ninja 4.3.x now ignores any 0 value for enums, when used as bitfield masks, to aid readability.

Highly recommend checking out @lukasarnld.bsky.socialβs talk on the iOS baseband. Itβs up on the OBTS YouTube livestream right now. Video out in a couple days?

Reversing C++ structures can be tricky. Binary Ninja makes it easier. I wrote up a walkthrough to clean up those pesky vtables. @binary.ninja

26.11.2024 12:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So I benchmarked how much faster the newer Apple silicon chips were in decompiling programs with Binary Ninja. No surprise, the M2 Ultra performed well. Also, RAM is important. @binary.ninja

21.11.2024 08:19 β π 14 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Can confirm this works pretty well. Mapping in one .dylib at a time is certainly saving my SSD from all that previous swap. Thanks @binary.ninja.
21.11.2024 14:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There are tons of YouTube videos comparing Appleβs M4 lineup against Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, etc.
We need a channel or blog for reverse engineers that shows how much faster I can decompile the dyld shared cache with the M4 Max over the Pro. π€
