Do we know if he ever said that he lacked the resources to run basic IT operations securely?

Thing is, people also complain (rightly) about long transfers. You can't avoid those but also aim for wide geographical coverage.

As a neutral, it was a pen.
Disallowed goal seemed a bit mean, but if youโ€™re offside and you actually duck under the goalbound ball, youโ€™re pretty likely to be penalised imo.
More importantly, Man City look ominously good.

it's a K-shaped economy, apparently, which am taking to mean you need to be on K to make any sense of this at all

The City of London Nocturne will bring UCI-sanctioned night racing to the UK in June 2026, with menโ€™s and womenโ€™s Pro Criterium events planned under the lights of the capital.

Fun that you are still writing this piece. How do the overall numbers look compared to your pre-election predictions?

My word Gary Neville likes to moan about footballers doing things better than he was ever able to do them.

The UKโ€™s enormously ambitious decarbonisation push may or may not succeed. But to see someone like you join the right wing pile on against the UK is bleak.

02.10.2025 21:39 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

So what was your post based based on (other than exposure to right wing US media that appears to have singled out the UK - which has a left wing government - for particular ire?)
The idea in particular that the UK aspires to be a โ€˜great powerโ€™ is particularly weird (and a bit Trumpian).

02.10.2025 21:35 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

No one in the UK claims or wants us to be a โ€˜great powerโ€™. We just get on with being what we are, as best we can. The US right seem obsessed with us at the moment, I guess partly because we have a left wing government they hate. Itโ€™s depressing to see you join them

02.10.2025 21:05 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

As for โ€œit barely qualifies as a developed countryโ€ - well, that begs the question of whoโ€™s been swallowing far right media. Not sure itโ€™s us.

02.10.2025 21:00 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

We have a centre-left government, recently elected with a huge majority, which amongst other things is investing very heavily to decarbonise our grid by *2030*.
To be scolded by an American for right wing tendencies at this moment feelsโ€ฆodd.

I like a lot of what you write and record, David, but Iโ€™m not sure you have a very deep understanding of recent UK political history.
