16.05.2025 12:57 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Very pretty and slightly maddening little stainless part for neuroscience with lots of angles and precise little dowel pin holes and shoulder screws slip fits etc

21.03.2025 00:04 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I'm gonna start scraping with very very modest aims and try to get a feel for it but I'd like to scrape some square stuff and some dovetails hopefully.

It's pretty fun.

11.03.2025 23:55 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Relapsed the OD and base of this magnetic eBay cylinder square to +/-0.0001" (2.5 micron) after work today. Much improved over the initial half-thou error. Absolutely incredible what OD laps can do for circularity and surface finish. The main issue starting were the weird non-circularities...

01.03.2025 13:12 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I highly recommend ordering one on McMaster. They are one big 4-axis wire edm piece as far as I can tell, but they still have some mysteries as far as fabrication is concerned. They are inexpensive and very cool. They have a LOT of axial stiffness for such thin metal
