I think my parents tried to do this for me. but I was pushed into "theater" (I was in like, 2 plays/year when I was young) and also "accomplishments" (I took sample PSATs on a card table in my room, with a timer going), too young.

let your kids play. kids are lovely, and they love to read.

raise people like that, pls! let kids be themselves, so a decade or so, they'll be happy.

it's weird when you meet someone who wasn't raised as a kid under all those false premises.

if I had a kid, and if I were also wealthy, then I'd send them to montessori school. where they seem to respect kids, and let them tie their shoes in a way that makes sense to them, and don't shove kids onto a lit stage, and say SINGGG!!

kids put on plays, ALL THE TIME. give them time, leave them alone. they put on plays. there's no director (unless there's that one kid like Sasha, who was a born director), there's no adults involved. kids are great at that! leave them alone.
