i’m preparing pork chops with sautéed bell peppers and jalapeños with a side of green beans for a hearty breakfast before his 12+ hour shift manual labor job so he can be fully energized until it’s over and can eat protein shakes in between if he happens to be hungry again.

i feel like on top of never getting any true “me” time there’s never any “we” time and i’ve been feeling truly unappreciated lately.

i just feel so disconnected from my partner and i don’t know if it’ll ever get better just because they spend 3/4 of their life at work. clocking in at 1pm till 4am 5 days a week. i might as well be single…

baby just woke up from their second nap. they probably won’t sleep again till their bedtime around 8-9pm. then maybe i’ll take a nice bath 🛀🏾

i’ve been up for almost 4 hours meal prepping for the week since i couldn’t sleep anyways and my child is sleeping and is not in need of my immediate attention so it is an optimal time to get stuff done. i just hope i’m not disturbing my downstairs neighbors too badly.

my neck has been killing me the last few days but he’s never home to rub it for me because his shifts are so long. 😭

finally we are all together at home. i lay here in silence as my little family sleeps soundly beside me. hearing their soft breathing brings me immeasurable joy and peace.

Ill be honest.... all these people losing insurance are more important than the white house and it's painful to see people care so much more about a building than all the people being killed off.

my child is just refusing to sleep and all i wanted was a nap lol. it’s always only when i’m actually tired that they’re full of life 😂
