I had my 31st crying session of 2026 today, because my PASS Card application failed to validate my Identity.

I am overloaded by too many life tasks, burned out, and in mental health crisis territory. I don't have the capacity to suffer more systemic failures.

Every bureaucratic failure is a massive cost to a disabled person.

It costs extreme amounts of energy, time and money, to apply for something.

When the application fails, all that effort is wasted.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the passport photo is forcibly zoomed out by the app, so you can't get a clear photo of your passport photo.

It's impossible to get your face scan to match the passport!

And I was already planning to go to the reception on Monday to prove my ID so I can connect Patchs to online services.

If they discriminate against my face, and ignore my birth certificates that validate my passport, I'm going to have a very public mental breakdown!

Now I have to go through the exhausting effort of begging a GP or the crisis team to confirm my ID via official records, which isn't a guarantee because NHS bureaucracy is lazy, often part-time work, and ableist.

Exhausting physical travel for me next week.

Tried applying for a PASS Card but the face scan doesn't match with my passport photo.

Why the heck would a phone selfie match a professional 85mm+ photo? Also, I'm on the hypermobile spectrum so my features shift about on a daily basis.

I'm crying and having a mental breakdown over the Age Verification laws.

Soon Android will suffer the same fate, and I will be locked out of the internet permanently.

I won't be able to order groceries, pay bills, or have hobbies. I can't survive without the internet. 😭

I have a passport but it expires in two years and I can't renew it. How will I survive this world after 2028? I don't have the privilege of a new passport, a driver's license or a credit card.

This is fuel for a massive mental health crisis.

Disabled people are the most likely to have no photo ID or credit card.

We are also the most dependent on the internet for survival. Groceries, paying bills, socialising, and the Universal Credit journal.

I'm terrified that Android is next.

But it has occurred to me that many of the older folk criticizing this surrealist humour were probably not participating in their own generation's humour, because they were busy doing boring neurotypical things offline instead of posting frogs on unicycles.

It's so weird seeing Millennials/Zillennials criticise Alpha surrealist humour when we pioneered internet surrealism.

"The kids these days are so feral", said every generation ever.

Except Generation Alpha are the first to grow up with the concept of Autistic unmasking, which means juvenoia is literally trying to force people back into the "closet".

Liberation is a good thing. Industrial schooling is evil.

Juvenoia is an irritating collective social behaviour that every generation of neurotypicals seems to exhibit towards the generations beneath them.

Millennials and Gen Z have entered their juvenoia era.

A lot of the juvenoia Millennials have started exhibiting towards Generation Alpha reeks of ableism.

Yes, obviously ageism, but also ableism. When they complain about the behaviour of Alphas, they're complaining about neurodivergence.

It's extra absurd that we believe in a static, Magic Number of Disabled People, given that we have an aging population, therefore disability will be increasing as a proportion of the population.

Demographic reality is incompatible with a static, Magic Number of Disabled People.

Some humans have experienced an increase in the world population of 5 billion in a single lifetime.

The "Magic Number of Disabled People" hasn't been updated in the public consciousness since the 1950s.

So the "extra" Disabled People of the 2020s are dismissed as irrelevant.

"The Disabled" are considered to be a static absolute number at all times, regardless of population growth.

This ableist mindset prevents infrastructure adapting to a larger number of disabled people.

Refusing support to disabled children is socio-economic self-sabotage.

Sometimes I feel glad that I suffered school in 2010, when services weren't playing the CAMHS/SEND equivalent of The Hunger Games and actually felt *available*.

But I don't feel glad that I lived in terrible ignorance of my Autism.

We live in the precarious polytropic Hell of late stage capitalism (an economy that is fundamentally incompatible with Autistic brains) and have a school system that was never built for Autistic brains.

And we currently have the largest Autistic school cohort ever.

2012 was the largest cohort of UK births in recent history. This translates into the largest absolute number of Autistic children of any cohort in recent history.

These children are currently in Year 8/Year 9.

This is the demographic context behind the "SEND crisis".

Imagine waking up in an alternate universe where everything is similar, but illogical. That’s our daily experience.

I'm completely impotent in my life. I can't access anything. I am trapped and helpless. People won't let me accomplish anything and it's making me feel insane.

What's the point of a life where I can't do anything?

I'm tired of being the only Autistic whose diagnostic process was ruined.

My clinician abused me for 9 months.

I never got the proper, healing, expert process that the NHS promised me.

And I'm tired of being surrounded by bourgeois Autistics who had perfect evaluations/assessments and have access to every fecking service they want.

The classism in Autistic spaces is unbearable.

The NHS has been repeating its exhausting ableist violence for 16 years. I am so tired of fighting for the minimum. Why don't I matter to this world?!

Suffered another accessibility fail today and I'm exhausted. I'm so tired of fighting to access basic things that allistics access easily and take for granted. I'm also tired of not having a competent adult in my life to help me.
