I've basically been in travel mode for the last 2 weeks, but really it's been closer to a month. I don't know who else to tell this to, but holy cow, I'm tired, Internet. All I want to do is sleep, read and eat for the next week.
But that's not in the cards. And that's mostly okay.
Onward.

It was good! Far better than I was expecting since it didn't get a lot of glowing reviews. Julia Garner was great in it. Granted, I didn't like it as much as the original, but it kept me engaged!

Tough to say, @sarahstubbssays.bsky.social! Gerald's Game was excellent (how I'd never seen it before is beyond me). I also really liked #missingcouple and Apartment 7a!

My second favorite thing about Lady Gaga is that she's not afraid to make really ugly faces while she singing. And somehow they still end up looking amazing. I'm not the biggest Lady Gaga fan, I have to say. But I'm always impressed with her performances.

My favorite thing about watching Lady Gaga is that you can tell she's actually singing, and it's not perfect, but it's pretty freaking close. Not only that, but you can tell when they take off big parts of her costume, and she can breathe a little easier. The whole thing is amazing. #coachella2025

Back home finally and slept the heaviest sleep last night. Woke up not knowing where I was, who I was, what day it was, who's dog was in the bed. Very confused for the first 10 sec of the day.
I'm still pretty exhausted, but at least I know who's underwear I'm wearing now.

It's been a minute since I've posted about running, but I have a 6k coming up at the end of the month. I just did 3.37 miles (about 5.4k). I'm almost there! And I'm a sweaty dead mess, but whatever! 🎉🎉

I'm trying to cultivate a daily meditation habit in an effort to keep from spiraling into a depression over the current hellscape we're living in, and I've been doing okay at it. But the thing that takes me out of it every time is the phrase "gently close your eyes". How else am I going to do that??

Fighting something off. Could it be norovirus? No idea. But I've been sleeping since 2pm, have had zero appetite, have had stomach cramps, and some agita while I was sleeping. I am weak, achy. I made myself eat a few saltine minis just now with some water. Will I get to keep it? Time will tell. 🤷‍♀️

Btw, I hope you can find some time to take a step back from it if that's what you need. I'm trying to be very zen about all of it, but it is a struggle, and I'm finding myself doom scrolling and stress eating far more often than I'd like. Finding peace is hard right now. But I'm trying!

It's difficult, for sure. I'm just burned out. I spent 4 years obsessively checking social media when dude had his first go-around. It was not good for my mental health. So I'm making a huge effort to not let that happen again. If something happens, I figure I'll find out about it even without sm. 🤷‍♀️

My goal today was to avoid all coverage of that whole thing... But I kept getting sucked in. I kept looking at that app that shall not be named, and the other app w/the books and the faces, and well, consider me fairly discouraged at the moment. So I'm unplugging again. I'm gonna go read books.

I've been on Bluesky for a month now and thankfully, my main timeline is no longer anime porn/furries. Cool if you're into that, but it made it hard to find my fellow horror nerds and pessimists filled w/equal parts dread and ennui.
