Heard about the Louvre jewel heist and my first thought was “finally, some good old fashioned normal crime”

And this is after a wave of people getting their SNAP benefits stolen this month (at least in my area) - I've gotten so many calls about their SNAP being stolen during my volunteer shifts at the food bank in the past few weeks. So that's two months in a row of no SNAP if the shutdown goes on

WIC is already being impacted— I saw a woman in my local But Nothing group asking for diapers and formula because she hadn’t gotten her WIC funds

So the feds have now directed states NOT to send out November SNAP benefits.

A whole bunch of people are going to go hungry this Thanksgiving.
