That was a rude awakening to start the league season. Bullied in midfield and struggled mightily to handle Saints attacking threat. Based on that St Johnstone are massive favourites for the Championship.

Hibs 1 Midtyjlland 2

Cracking European night at Easter Road. Hibs a little unlucky but the Danes had that little bit extra quality and probably scored 2 of the best goals I’ll see all season. Both were stunners.

He’s said this multiple times now. Has any journalist ever asked him which states?

I’ve seen some spineless politicians in my time but this guy surpasses them all.

Queens Park 2 Cove Rangers 1

Having completed the SPFL 42 grounds a couple of years ago I found myself back down to 40 at the start of this season with QP moving and East Kilbride being promoted. That’s Lesser Hampden done, not sure I want to go to EK. Unconvincing win for the Spiders.

Terrific 1st half performance, 2 going on 6 or 7. Quieter 2nd half but did the job. Impressive debut from Letsosa. Looked full of energy and a nice turn of pace on occasion.

Sopel and Maitlis are clueless when it comes to Scotland. I quite like the podcast and listen reasonably regularly but they’re both deeply entrenched in the London media bubble.

“Mindless thuggery” from a protest by 1000 leads to the arrest of 6. Meanwhile over 100 arrested over the weekend for peacefully protesting a genocide. Tell me again about 2 tier policing. To be fair to the police this is on Starmer and the government. How have they got it so wrong.

Decent enough start to the season for Thistle. Thought Stanway looked like he wants to really step up and take the top midfielder role. Probably the worst ground I’ll visit this season.
