Honestly if you wanted to make a multiplayer online RPG at this point it's more economical and probably just overall better to make an MORPG like Guild Wars 1 or PSO and not an MMORPG or even just a small lobby based thing like Monster Hunter. Atlyss proved that the idea can scale down beautifully
