The package itself includes harmful trojan-horse bills disguised under "Online Child Safety", which include: The House's version of KOSA COPPA 2.0 SCREEN Act RESET Act Sammy's law App Store Accountability Act GAMING Act Safe Messaging for Kids Act Parents Over Platforms Act These bills are: Massive breaches in privacy and the first amendment. Show a complete misunderstanding of how the internet and encryption works. Add more government-invasive surveillance online. Put the lives of children and the livelihoods of adults at risk. Will lead to mass censorship of legal content online and a chilling effect on the internet similar in effect to the UK Online Safety Act Are extremely unpopular and don't protect kids. Enable predators to take advantage of the established online systems to prey on children, especially those in power. Please oppose these bills and vote "no" should any of them come to a vote before you.
