Oh that’s great advice! I’ll try that next time. I tend to work on multiple pieces at a time, which is great for when I get stuck. I'll just switch to another project, and surprisingly, the different pieces often end up informing each other and helping me find solutions.

The artist dilemma: when to stop vs. keep pushing your work? Artist friends, what’s your take?

For me, with traditional drawings (especially since there’s no undo button like in digital!), it’s a constant battle between loving the early, messy sketches and the “what if” of making it even better.

This is gorgeous! I'm a big fan of doing quick studies myself. There's a freedom and spontaneity to them that I really love. They often end up being some of my favorites.
