Oooh! Tocca would be nice to have too! This find was from a Ross I don't usually go to. There have been plenty of Marc Jacob's, Elizabeth Arden (Red Door and Sunflowers ) and Ariana Grande at my local ones.

#sotd a great find for under $18 at Ross today that took over MH Violet Ida on the wear test. Oscar de la Renta Alibi Eau Sensuelle. Velvety orange creamsicle swirled into a smoked sandalwood waffle cone. No sharpness, no astringent cleaning product. Just soft sweetness 🍊

Clove and papyrus (aka nagarmotha or cypriol) paired together give a background of aromatic spiciness without overwhelming the cider. The cypriol adds traces of cedar and patchouli or perhaps myrrh and vetiver depending on how you interpret it. The beeswax and musk reinforce the richness of the cider accord, adding an amber tone with slightly animalic sweetness and elegant depth. The patchouli gives accent to the sweetness of the beeswax. - Inspired by The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman, my favorite book of 2021. The elements of this perfume – apple cider, cloves, beeswax, and musk – are taken from a love letter in the book. During the process of creating this, I originally wanted the apple cider accord to be the dominant note, however the apple cider I created was so full bodied and buttery and decadent that I had to back it way down into being more in balance with the other aspects. Clove and cypriol are similar in some ways and I feel like they really compliment each other in this pairing. The dry down of musks, beeswax and patchouli are also so rich and warm. Several of the musks I chose to use have a fruity-apple aspect which helps to give the cider accord lasting power.

#sotd Define Me Nearly Nude. You're wrapped in a fluffy bathrobe swaddled in the smell of a sudsy body scrub with bubbles still popping on your shoulders. The soapy accords give the scent a slick surfactant texture like you weren't able to wash out the shampoo.

#sotd Arquiste Tropical, nose Rodrigo Flores-Roux 🤍 🌺 👑. Cacophony of tropical scents competing for their solos against a background of what I'm convinced is perfume's white noise equivalent: ambroxide (unlisted but I'm sensitive to it). Pleasant to other noses but screechy to my own.

Lynn Harris just has such a touch with and understanding for fruit notes in her compositions. I have yet to experience a poor experience with a fruity accord in her perfumes.

I love it when the perfume matches the outfit! Sometimes I'll base my outfit on the vibes or scent profile of the perfume and other times match the vibe to the outfit. Today was one of those days 😀

I find it grounding but definitely energizing ⚡

I wear it when things need to get done and I need to be present with every moment and yes, spraying with abandon is part of the experience 😁

Aldebaran: Mostly floral, lots of green, equal parts synthetic and creamy, slightly sweet, and quite spicy Tuberose Absolute, Bell Pepper, Tonka Bean and Maté

#sotd MAB Aldebaran by Quintin Bisch. A dusty, biting Tuberose that conjured the image of neon green moon cheese at first sniff and that's not a bad thing. Settles into a silky floral with a metallic tang that gets noticed even with a dabber application. Nice but I have better Tuberoses #perfumesky

That's what draws me to them too. "Lipstick" inspired frags just scream texture to me
