Yes It was odd. Probably thought they were being edgy. They did issue a sort of apology after.

They opened a bar in Sheffield with marketing along the lines of 'At last, decent beer in Sheffield' when the city had a longstanding excellent beer scene. It didn't go down well.

I was going to say that one. It has a feeling of inevitability about it.

In my last job I dreaded any IT sales pitch getting through to management. They would get obsessed by all sorts of crap and waste everyone's time because they'd nearly always baulk at the ££ stage. Outside stuff always received a more favourable reception than in-house suggestions. FOMO was massive.
