The proper solution by the Democrat party would be to demolish the institutions supporting Trump.

Punish universities that gave in to “anti-semitism” pressure.
Deny airtime and support to complicit media.
Cut the military down significantly.
Wealth tax on the billionaires.

We’ll see none of that.

The people of Bayview-Hunters Point have been asking to get this cleaned up for decades. The Navy doesn’t care about their plight.

If you are elected I hope you can force the Navy to do something about this. Maybe take it from the funds for an aircraft carrier. 🙂

(I mean this in good faith. I think a lot of people are reacting today because of Trump’s recent vocal comment. People who otherwise wouldn’t care about midterm safety.)

I’m talking about how to address people’s concerns. Not my view on whether the concerns are proper.

And by insulting them you are validating their opinion that you cannot say why this time is different.

If your aim is to convince people I would avoid insulting them.

I don’t know. These fears come from a place of people being told Trump can’t do X thing before he just does X thing. They are tired of being told Project 2025 was not a credible plan or that Trump wasn’t serious about foreign invasions.
Acknowledge that before saying why this X thing is different.

I think rather than worrying about trying to tamp down those concerns, it’s more important to channel them into positive action.

ICE forces are meeting active peaceful resistance. People worried about him messing with midterms need to be ready to fight attempts by Trump to mess with them.

@angiecraigmn.bsky.social was the ONLY Minnesota Democrat to vote for the Laken Riley Act. The only one to vote to praise ICE.

Even today, with ICE in our streets, she stands by her pro-Trump votes.

Or just pass a wealth tax and watch them run for the hills.

Again everything you advocate for is good but we need to drum up power to beat them and our usual playbook doesn’t give us platforms to exercise power.
