A group of Picts travelling together (possibly a family? up to you!) including a young man with a spear, a woman dressed in furs, a young girl and a man who has been injured in battle or an accident and lost his right arm.
The same group of Picts bartering with a settlement of charcoal burners for a place to stay overnight.
Our Picts again, but this time they are camping with a tent. The young man stands watch while the woman cooks and the other two keep themselves entertained.
Some illustrations I worked on recently for carved in stone by @stoutstoat.co.uk. Loved working on this project!

Carved in Stone is officially out!
In this comprehensive setting guide you'll be able to see, touch, taste, hear and smell your way through everything that modern-day scholars currently know of the enigmatic culture of the Picts, from the perspective of someone living in the late 7th Century.

Totally understandable though given how tough things are at the moment and how much work goes into keeping small publishers afloat. Will be missed and remembered fondly!💛

The pins depict a knight (left) and the questing beast (right) and are designed as busts with a right angle on the outer edge, with the two characters facing each other, though on separate pins. The edges that face each other mirror shapes so that the beasts head looks as though it fits the curve of the knight's helm if they were put together like puzzle pieces.
Another piece of the puzzle has arrived! The enamel pins designed by Asia Kazub are here! Thanks to hitting our 8k stretch goal the pins are hard enamel! the colors look really stellar and there's lots of beautiful details!

Comics are things that anyone can and should make, just as much as writing or drawing are things that people can and should do if there's paper and pencils around. It's another way of expressing yourself and it should be fun. Just like writing and drawing.

Idk if that makes sense at all!

graphic titled "Bonus Challenges" text reads: Stuck for inspiration? Try these! • Draw each object being held or used • Each object is found in the room or pack of a single character. What story do they tell? • Each object is a museum exhibit. What do they tell us about the people that made them? • Draw each object broken • Combine two prompts and draw an object that works as both make the objects into little creatures use real objects to design a character a pencil and a hairbriush, both with little legs, decorate the image.
I'm trying out a wee drawing challenge for October! #Objectober is a v chill challenge designed to make drawing inanimate objects fun and also to broaden our use of reference!
