A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green are sitting at a little bonfire, gazing restfully into the flickering flames.
Blue: Do you ever think of the ways your life could've gone differently?
Green: No.
Blue: Like if you could start over with everything that you know now?
Green: Nope. The odds of finding you again in the right place at the right time are way too low.
Blue: You'd rather have me than a new chance?
Green: Having you is the best possible life.

A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green turn to look at something in the sky with mild concern.
Blue: What is that? A helium balloon?
Green: No, it's floating downward, not up.
Both foxes are startled, eyes wide, Blue still looking at the sky as Green already turns to flee.
Blue: It's coming right at us!
Green: Run!
Instantly, the unindentified flying object, which is now revealed to be a bright red festive christmas hat, lands right on Green's head with great force and precision.
Blue looks down to Green, who is now laying on th ground, the seasonal hat positioned right on his head.
Blue: It's December first, isn't it?
Green: Yep.

Blue: Hik... Hik.. Snif, snif, krhm, hmh, krhm, hmh, burp, sigh
Both foxes are mildly startled as a bright "ping!" noise is heard, and blue lights up, glowing around the edges.
Both foxes look at Blue, puzzled.
Blue: I think I hit some secret combo code by accident.

A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green are both very old, walking somewhere together, as text above them narrates.
Narration: If we both go deaf when we're old, let's hope we go together.
Frowning in mild confusion, Blue and Green discuss something very loudly.
Narration: Yelling when we talk just to hear our own voices. Wondering out loud why the world has gone so quiet now.
Next door, a reddish neighbour fox is on the floor, pressing a pillow over their ears, trying to ignore the loud conversation.
Narration: While our neighbours wish that they could also live in our quiet, private little world.

Green: Would you still love me if I never got better?
Blue hesitates a moment before answering.
Blue: What a silly thing to ask.
Joining Green on the floor, Blue wraps himself around Green, who doesn't seem as sad anymore.
Blue: I would love you even if you got worse.

Blue turns his head to follow where Green is going as Green floats further away.
Blue: Doing what today?
Green: Just the whole day. Any of it.
As Green drifts out of sight, Blue raises his eyebrow, puzzled, watching where Green drifted off to.
Blue: Also why are you floating?
Green, out of frame: I got excommuned by gravity.
Blue stares after Green, now in blank bafflement.

Green: How's your headache? Can I help in any way?
Blue: Not really. I just have to suffer through it.
Having produced an antique-style velvet-cushioned fainting couch, apparently out of nowhere, Green places Blue upon it. Blue rests on his back, still exactly just as miserable as before.
Green: Would you feel better suffering on a nice fainting couch?
Blue: It's not worse.
Closing his eyes, Green cuddles up to Blue, loosely wrapping around him.
Green: What if I lay down too, draped dramatically over you, lamenting your grievous fate?
Blue: You don't have to do all that.
Green: But I want to.

Ceiling moth: I already gave you my firstborn.
Blue: What's that supposed to mean?
Blue and Green look at each other in concern as the moth replies cheerily.
Ceiling moth: Check your pantry.
Opening the pantry door, Blue and Green draw back in shock and disgust as they are partially obscured by an overwhelming cloud of flour moths that pours out.

Green: I wonder if it lets me order one with nothing.
Blue watches incredulously as Green makes his own order, choosing no ingredients.

Frowning and sleepy, Green lifts his head from his pillow and looks around, trying to determine the source of the sound.
Green, still in thought: There it was again. Where is it coming from?
As he looks around, Green's gaze lands on Blue. Still groggy and sleepy, Green nonetheless looks visibly relieved.
Green, still thinking: I can't decide what to do about it before I figure out wh- oh.

Now on the balcony, both foxes look down in fascination as a cacophony of nonstop honking is happening somewhere below.
Green: Wow, the person blocking traffic really thinks they have the right of way.
Blue: Amazing.
Green turns to look over his shoulder to the apartment, while Blue's eyes are still glued on the action. The aggressive honking continues.

Green: Persimmons! They're finally in season!
Blue sits back and watches as Green dives into the persimmon pile, sniffing through them. The fruit mound is taller than one whole fox.
Green: Awwwwh, none of them are ripe yet.
Blue looks at Green calmly, as his suggestion brings a spark of inspiration to Green's expression.
Blue: You could get a few and let them ripen in a fruit bowl at home.
As the foxes head home, Green is hauling along a wheeled fruit grate. He has taken every single one of the persimmons that were on display.

Green takes a momentary pause from being cartoonish, being now depicted as a painstakingly detailed and shaded painting of a fox, with fur texture, whiskers and all.
