Weekend 2 is over so I'm checking in with my full verdict on the Gears of War Reloaded Beta.

A mixed bag of an experience for night 1 of the Gears of War Reloaded Beta. When I could actually get into a full match, all good, but it was plagued by server issues and unbalanced teams. Had a few 1v3/4s. We go again over the weekend! How was your experience?

Leitch and Spaihts are an interesting combo for Writer and Director. Action vs Story balance is hopefully good. I still have massive worries about this because it's at Netflkx though. Happy to be wrong!

I think it's clear that this release is about tidying UE up to modern standards as they send it multi-platform, which is the right thing to do (some games get no such treatment). Not as exciting as a Gears 2 / 3 remaster etc, but I'm very happy that Gears is being supported.
