BB, amateur photography, politics/current events. I lack the mental bandwidth to run separate accounts for different interests, so I encourage you to use the 'mute words/tags' feature. All photos mine unless otherwise noted.

01.03.2026 03:06 â ð 8 ð 1 ðŽ 1 ð 0Well, my 5 mile anger walk didn't work. On to anger cleaning, I guess.
28.02.2026 20:02 â ð 7 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0D. Checking your ear for hidden cat treats, just in case.
28.02.2026 19:56 â ð 4 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0I'm not watching, so somebody just let me know if he declares war on Canada, kthxbye.

Currently watching Big Beasts.
(a wildlife documentary series, not the SOTU)
I just watched Ghosted. As much as I adore Chris Evans, the movie was a disappointing 'meh'.
- it seemed like it couldn't decide if it was a spy movie or a parody of a spy movie
- I didn't realize until the credits that David Ellison was one of its producers. Ugh.
On the plus side, it has been trained to be so sychophantic that sooner or later when asked for a battle plan it'll insist that Musk should personally lead the charge.
24.02.2026 21:09 â ð 2 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0A puffling (baby puffin).
24.02.2026 20:11 â ð 1 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0If there are any aliens watching the closing ceremonies from space I bet they're very confused and laughing their asses off.
22.02.2026 20:30 â ð 2 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0Gaaaah!
22.02.2026 15:08 â ð 1 ð 0 ðŽ 1 ð 0That's more like it!
22.02.2026 14:40 â ð 6 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0I am disgusted.
22.02.2026 14:27 â ð 1 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0If Canada can't score in a 93 second 2 man advantage, I'm going back to bed.
22.02.2026 14:22 â ð 4 ð 0 ðŽ 1 ð 0Canadian narrator: Yeah, no.

I have no idea why this immediately popped into my head, but...Bingo.
Maybe his spots looked like they were done with a dauber, idk.
Or Squee. (j/k...mostly)
Yeah of all the things I miss about Edmonton, the '4-6 layers of clothing season' is definitely not one of them.

(from Edmonton, of course)
Yeah, that tracks.
Contrary to whatever you may have heard about Alberta, Edmonton has a lot of little pockets of very cool weirdness. Or weird coolness.
Uh huh. I'm sure each of those million mentions was just people telling each other "By the way, I just want to say, out of the blue and for no reason whatsoever, if anyone is curious, [redacted] has nothing to do with any of this."
17.02.2026 01:46 â ð 1 ð 0 ðŽ 1 ð 0Thanks!
14.02.2026 01:43 â ð 1 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0Thanks :)
13.02.2026 21:02 â ð 1 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0A closeup of a raven squawking, facing camera left with its beak open.
A raven sits patiently on the edge of a roof, looking into the camera as it waits for me to find the best place from which to take its picture.
A raven sits on the edge of a roof. The blurry green background is an evergreen tree on the other side of the building. The raven is looking up slightly, likely pondering whether raid a nearby pigeon nest.
A closeup of the head and neck of a raven. Its head is turned slightly to the camera's right as it watches me with its right eye.
'My' raven has trained me well: call until I come outside with the camera, then pose patiently as I walk back and forth in search of a clean background for portraits.
13.02.2026 20:22 â ð 20 ð 1 ðŽ 5 ð 0Good to give the general idea, but don't rely on it when going outside. The grizzly bears that live here (in the black bear bump at the bottom of BC) would be surprised to learn they don't live here.

For anyone who needs cheering up... here's Britain's smallest bird having a bath today in a woodland puddle. ðððĶâĪïļ

The issue this time is I find something in the pantry that would be better off in a kitchen cabinet, which requires reorganizing (emptying) the cabinets, then finding something in a cabinet that could go in the laundry room, and around and around we go. And now somehow nothing fits anywhere.
07.02.2026 04:57 â ð 2 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0Day 3: somehow the laundry room has also gotten involved.
07.02.2026 03:45 â ð 7 ð 0 ðŽ 1 ð 0I did the same thing this morning.
06.02.2026 21:29 â ð 2 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0I should add i don't wear mine, but I'm saving it for when I can again.
06.02.2026 21:15 â ð 1 ð 0 ðŽ 0 ð 0Oh I get it, trust me.
06.02.2026 21:15 â ð 1 ð 0 ðŽ 1 ð 0Red maple leaf hats have been a thing here since long before...you know. I have one I've had for almost 30 years.
