The agreement for the extension pack is front and center on the website. I agree a change to the wording is not great, and easy to ignore, bit it is not necessary to use VirtualBox, and has always been chargeable for business use.

I feel like that is a bit of a nothing burger post.

My understanding is this is only related to the extension pack, not the main VirtualBox tool. If you don't download the additional extension pack, and don't install it, there is nothing to see here.

I'm now working on the basis it will never happen. That way I can't be disappointed again...

Schema annotations have been backported to 19.28

These enable you to add key-value metadata to describe tables, columns, and other database objects
