19m screen on time must be a record. What is my phone doing mining crypto? It was at 100% when I went to sleep. And dead now
I think the little Gemini icon might be the culprit. It's been on since I plugged my phone in looking for downloads on YouTube music. Anyone else recently have this issue?

Finally was able to finish adding posts. Working on uploading media with posts. Tomorrow will be likes, reposts, replies, and need to figure out another way of doing replies. Hoping for January 15th to start releasing an alpha.

I will write all the tests in the world. I will navigate through all the device sizes, capabilities, etc. The worst part I dread about working on an app on my own is thinking about creating the Play store listing for it. 😂 Policies, marketing, images.

Ok I keep getting distracted with other things. Added saved feeds in a scrollable tab row with pagination. Tablets will be tweetdeck style. Now off to Leetcode grinding instead of fun things. Interviews tomorrow. 😂 #AndroidDev

That took forever to get right, but tablet layouts. Need to try with more feeds once I figure out how to get the other feeds. 😂 Might really enjoy using my tablet for browsing here.

Oh yeah I knew it was around before KMP. I didn't think it was low rent. I just had never had the opportunity to use it. My last two jobs both used room. I think it's enjoyable and will be nicer when I'm fully used to it. Also did I see you on a talk about it?

Still so much to go. But I said I would have at least enough features covered by the end of the year to start releasing alphas. Tomorrow will be working on pre warming the players so they play when visible. Probably at least basic post creation.

Finally got video playback added in the feed and opening full screen. Spent more time than anything trying to figure out why videos weren't opening until I realized they were hls but I was filtering that extension. 🤦‍♂️

Been making progress:
-Media viewing from posts
-Tenor gif search / mentions on posts
-Media picking for posts (video and images)
-Permissions handling
-Add post screen
-Chat messages
-Notifications

Search is next then top level screens are mostly there. Then need to work on more embed types.

Combing through this because it's not too late to change mine. 😂

Morning everyone. 👋⚡ Either coffee now or I'm crawling back in bed.

Well after spending way too long on getting the posts embeds figured out, I finally have a bit of progress. Most of this work will carry on to other feeds. Tomorrow will get the layouts on the embed straightened out, replies, and actions on posts.

Sometimes, this is just the way it is..

Also I must be tired. I might need to actually go and look at some docs for these embeds on posts.

Wait Room supports KMP now? Going to have to rest a bit and decide. Might just stay with sqldelight anyways. I actually kind of like just building the queries.

Yay, ok a lot of boilerplate out of the way, networking, basic models setup. Worst part was setting up iOS building, forgot this is a new computer and I hadn't setup xcode at all yet. lol
