There's something magical about a slow morning walk taking the time to welcome a new day and notice the little things.

Police and crime commissioners to be scrapped in England and Wales The government says it will save £100m over this Parliament and less than 20% of voters can name their PCC.

For those interested in Police accountability PCC's are reportedly being replaced.

I wrote about PCC's in Criminology and Crime Prevention (amzn.eu/d/9PQ8rMQ), if I do a second edition, this is potentially going to be something that gets changed!

Credit where it's due, I'm pretty new to the OU and haven't been a student for a while but the @oulibrary.bsky.social have been blimin' amazing.

Information sessions, speedy responses to emails and even bought a text they didn't originally have within 24 hours of me requesting!

Went out to Co-Op to get emergency snacks (Milky Way Lucky Stars for me) hearing the rain on the roof and thought 'I'm sure it's not that heavy...just sounds loud'.

I can confirm (and so can my trackies) that it is indeed raining that hard.

There's never a good time for a Washing machine to break. But less than a week after it's been fixed and after you've just done some early Christmas shopping, is certainly up there for the poor timing award

Sat in the @oulibrary.bsky.social before my day starts and whilst comfy, I'm wondering whether anyone has managed to use a deck chair and their laptop at the same time....I'm not sure I would be able to and not willing to risk my new laptop

Other than extremely important merch which I need to study... My study essential has to be a set of noise cancelling headphones, otherwise I get myself far to easily distracted
