So here's the thing: I liked one picture of a woodpecker. It was a nice woodpecker. Honestly BlueSky? That doesn't mean I want my feed filling with pictures of woodpeckers, whether nice or not. Can we concentrate a little more on the "I" please? The "A" is already apparent.

The current way cannot continue, it's poisoning sports right down to the grass roots. When you see Sunday League officials quitting because of kids and parents aping the "professionals" there's something deeply, deeply broken.

When I see a group of so-called professional players surrounding a referee / umpire and screaming at them, I'd give the bloody lot of them a ban for a number of matches, and make them aware that officials have memories and the next 'n' 50/50 judgements aren't going their way.

I'd do away with all of this (in all sports) and go back to the Laws of Cricket: "If in the opinion of the umpire". That's it. What the referee says is it. Ban the constant slo-mo replays as part of the broadcasters' contracts. Come down like a ton of the proverbial bricks on any on-field dissent.
