I've been stuck in afwul #Oxford traffic for nearly an hour coming back from @bodleianlibraries.bsky.social, so before my battery runs out have a miniature! This one is from MS. Canonici 122, a copy of the #Persian #Sufi epic Intikhāb-i ḥadīqah by Sanāyī (supposedly edited by Farīd al-dīn ‘Aṭṭār).

Possibly one of the best non-fiction books I have read in years

50 notable works of nonfiction from 2024 The year’s best memoirs, biographies, history and more, as selected by the staff of The Washington Post’s Book World.

Several of these books are by academics, which is good to see, but by my count only 1 of the 50 was published by a university press. Just an observation. Make of it what you will.
