*So* much research starts with difference-based questions and researchers' categories/assumptions - helping to feed or legitimise communication myths and stereotypes. But the evidence about what people say/do in actual non-lab non-post-hoc accounts of interaction shows something else entirely #EMCA

Across the UK, UCAS data shows that applications to study nursing have fallen by 34% since 2021.

We can’t afford to lose the next generation of nursing staff – sign our petition to demand governments across the UK do more to improve financial support for nursing students ➑️ buff.ly/7LmGXKM

Listening to Rest is Politics, Rest is Politics US, and reading respected commentators, it's striking how 'left-wing bias' in universities is now taken for granted. That matters, especially in the US, where academia faces political attack. Thoughts from having worked in US/UK universities. 🧡

This'll be probably the last time I get to teach this course that has given me a lot of joy and has made many people happy (not my words, read the reviews and what people have said about this course on social media 😍!).
We have only a couple of places left to join us. See you next month!

Nursing degree programmes are critical to developing and maintaining high quality, evidence-based nursing practice. In 2025, it is just not acceptable to be proposing to cut nursing degree programmes (or many of the other degree programmes that are under threat)

This looks like a really interesting conference. Still taking submissions.

"Atypical" will cover quite range of different kinds of interactions (dementia, aphasia, autism etc), so should be of wide interest to CA researchers.
