WIP picture of the heavily reposed Argel Tal I've been building and painting. The original model kit is produced and sold by Games Workshop / Forgeworld. I customized it with a Custodes Guardian Spear and a few random chaos bits and trinkets. The paintjob is held close to lore-accurate depictions following a "Horus Heresy Legions" card art (seen in another image within this post, which features a lot of saturated reds, with slightly orange leaning highlights and horns being black towards the tips with some fleshy mid tones in the blend toward those black ranges. The Eye lenses of the helmet, as well as the daemonic eyes on pauldron and thigh, are mainly greenwith a blend into yellow toward the center. The spear arm is painted in brown and beige hues, with fine vein details, stippled magenta details to create a sort of sore flesh and black, sharp-looking claws. The serrated sun sigill on the chest as well as the first steel nmm bits of the armor ar painted as such with greys and white as well as some color influences from the environment around the miniature, which is also indicated on thee basing of the plinth. It's photographed in front of neutral grey background and features a small sized low opacity version of the CryoCheese icon in the bottom left corner.

I had to postpone the update post of last weeks 17 hour painting of the two days I had inbetween SMC and SPIEL.

This is the state of Argel Tal, as I entered it into Golden Demon and won a notable pin with.

For like 15 years GW didnt even ATTEMPT to hide the fact that necrons were terminator rips, even openly quoting the movie in rules. Only relatively recently did they chsnge them just enough to turn around and copywrite them to stop anyone stealing their stuff in return

Is it? This was the most blatant rip off for over a decade until they tweaked it around, ironically to stop people ripping them off in return.

They made a lot of money off copying the terminator IP.

After like a decade in development hell, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 is basically as good as you could hope for.

It's a perfectly serviceable action game that can't even hold a candle to the original, but it's like, fine. An game. Name it anything else and forget about it like the rest.

It's so reminiscent of 8th ed 40k, where there are a ton of glaring issues, but no one you talk to will agree with you until next edition where everyone agrees that it was bad but it's all fixed now so who cares.

Whatever. The biggest issue is just that if you get first turn you just take all the objectives and win. Poorly written rules with terribly written missions. No good.

Oh, I get vanguard for killing a rhino in combat on an objective, but not an assassin, even though they are both within 3" of an objective, which is the only criteria the rule actually specifies. Ok. I think maybe you wrote that FAQ without actually understanding your own game.

Or vanguard scoring in two different ways when it comes to shooting and combat. And then the FAQ rules that you don't score vanguard in combat if the enemy has heedless, but the wording of the rule doesn't even need the unit to be scoring anyway.

Like it feels bad to tell someone mid game that actually their tank has to shoot every weapon at a different target when it splits fire, rather than just splitting off weapons out of arc from the main target. Doesn't make any sense! But hey it's what the rules say...

3D printing is basically a second hobby. It takes a lot of effort to test and dial in settings to get it all working right. I've got friends with fully 3D printed armies, but a lot of work went into that.

Also they just suck to paint a lot of the time. The texture is not good.

Finished this beast in about a week. Very proud of how it's turned out! I'm excited to put it on the game table.
