READING the script is merely a single layer of voice acting. There should be more layers, making the moment in the story (and the performance of) more complex, nuanced, multi-layered.

How do we do that? Craft a bold, strong moment. And consistently practice being in it.

Two objectives from the observer seat:

1. Streamers are essentially voice acting when reading lines on stream. Through training, portrayal of those characters become more interesting and believable. Observe how it's implemented and see how you could use it in your own streams.

Another way I've heard it described is, auditioning is like going to a party. You don't want to be over-dressed and you also don't want to show up unshaven in flip-flops (unless they ask for raw, of course).

A little bit of something goes a long way when done correctly and done well. Like salt. 😄

Not everyone goes this way, which is fine, but I - for one - absolutely hold on to these things. Yes, I've processed and let go of things that needed to be processed and let go. But for the most part, I try to archive as much as I can. And use them as best I can.
