I'm not an expert in defense and security, not sure which of the minarals Norway has and specifically thoise that we cover in the report are relevant for the defense industry. For me the tradeoff is more between the global goal of protecting the climate and local environmental concerns

I am aware of all that, what I am trying to say is that we don't need to assume farmers' views switched, it's just as likely that the proclimate ones, who also benefit from the Energiewende, and the ones protesting and supporting AfD are simply different people being mobilized by different messages

They don't necessarily have to be the same individuals. When 100 000 protest, 87 900 000 stay home.

I'm not an expert, my wife worked for a couple of years in a research project on waste management, so I mostly had stories about things that do not work. You aren't the 1st person to have this opinion, but in general, Norwegians (and outsiders) see NO as greener than it really is, so I wonder

It leads to losing important nutrients on the one hand and on the other - incentivizes high levels of waste, not food waste reduction. In fact, to run the biogas plant, Oslo has to import waste from Sweden, reducing food waste which should be the goal will make the Oslo biogas supply chain obsolete.

What I know is that Norway doe snot have plastic recycling facilities so it has to export that to German facilities (wonder about the carbon footprint of that). Secondly, converting waste to energy is pretty low on the waste use pyramid. Take Oslo's biowaste scheme. 2/3

ok, I don't know the numbers to compare with the rest of the developed world, a bottle deposit scheme is not something special, and Norwegian plastic bottles are not multi-use, like in Germany, but just recyclable for PET. 1/3
