Enjoying my new #ForgottenWomenFriday with Betty Ford, linen weaver. Away all day today AND difficult to find much at first BUT already I realise she probably wasn’t forgotten at all, so I’ll take that into account when doing this.

I never said that. Maybe other ways work better for making friends. Like long time interaction on shared interests. Not a boatload of likes and then yelling how old someone is. Have fun.

Still so happy with the protools, but first & foremost the extended shsred matches. Wanted that for years. Now hoping for trees listed as having matching names 2show an icon/label indicating whether the owner/manager is a dna match, so no need to open each tree in turn. 😅

1 week on, update on my #AFewForgottenWomenFriday Still going strong but it’s going2take longer2bring it all together. Found plenty from her final 25y so still sorting that BUT where on earth was she the 40 years b4 that?? Constantly covering her tracks it seems…and she may have had good reason. 😘

3/3 #AFewForgottenWomenFriday so it keeps me on my toes. And it keeps US off the streets as we say. Now to find out why my girl ended UP on the streets - or at least fending for herself. A hard life whatever I find. At least now she won’t be completely forgotten.

2/3 well under way between acts at 14.30, when I suddenly see another girl by this name, actually born in the county she’s in in 1884! That’s more promising so back to the drawing board as I say.All part of reconstructing her life #AFewForgottenWomenFriday and certainly it keeps us… (see 3rd post)

Just wondering why poor Virginia Giuffre’s devastating accident reported everywhere but not in UK media? Or have I just not seen it?

I’ve been away for 50+ years. Had to hand in my UK passport when I arrived & got a Dutch one. Since 2016 not altogether unhappy about living here but now rather annoyed that I have to get an ETA to visit. Still have dual nationality but no passport 🙄😅

I can imagine! I’m constantly relieved I’ve not had to go through the past decade in the UK. I know many relationships would not have gone well under that sort of pressure. And I couldn’t have kept quiet.

I’d like to say the same and it’s not what it was but I seem to escape the worst trolls & onslaughts and often wonder how. Maybe because I sit on the fence a bit much. I may live to regret saying this. 😅 After all I already ran into a not so friendly or worthy politician this morning. We’ll see.
