To be fair they started the process to drop the requirement for a sick note. Sick notes are a giant waste of dr's time and yes employers absolutely ask people for them (with the threat of not paying the day)

When my friend was there she wanted soup after a hard tiring day. The person selling the soup gave her a price so she tried to hand money to him. It made him mad cause she wouldn't barter.....she just wanted soup.....he wouldn't sell it to her until she bartered🤣
