Starting today, families receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) will see an increase in child support passthrough payments from $150 to $200 per month.

Starting today, DC’s most vulnerable families will receive a significant increase in child support dollars.
Too many DC residents are struggling to make ends meet, and this is a long overdue step towards helping District kids get all the financial support available to them.
Starting today, DC families receiving TANF will keep more child support—up to $200/month, a $50 increase. Proud to work with @dcattorneygeneral.bsky.social & @cmbrookepinto.bsky.social to put kids first and get more support directly to families. #DCCouncil #TANF

The Council voted to rename the Connecticut Ave Bridge over Klingle Valley as the Judith E. Heumann Memorial Bridge. I was honored to introduce the bill recognizing a pioneer of disability rights and a Ward 3 resident. This ensures her legacy lives on.
