Since a few days ago, YouTube has changed the handling of embedded videos. In News Explorer 2.1 this results in an “Error code: 4” image with a “This video is unavailable” header.

We are currently working on a fix. In the meantime, please use the YouTube button in the toolbar to play the video.

App setting [Reading > Article poster display] controls images placed by News Explorer on top of the article.

Not in the current version, it's a candidate feature for a future update.

The option to move a few frequently used buttons to the bottom bar, is already a candidate feature for a future update.

Your screenshot shows the context menu of a selected article in the article list, not a feed in the feeds list, which is the first view of the app. Yes, it would be better to show empty folders, but the Apple framework used to retrieve the data for the feeds list doesn't support that.

You probably didn't see the instruction under the textbox in the New Folder dialog, when adding a new folder. To move a feed to a new folder, use menu item 'Move to Folder' in the long press context menu of a selected feed.

Nested conditions can be added by pressing the ⌥ Option key while clicking on the + button in the Filter editor. Adding nested conditions is only possible in the macOS app, however the resulting filter can be used on all platforms.

Agree, but difficult to implement in a way that's not awkward to use. It is however in the backlog as a candidate feature for a future update.

At the other hand we already have the Mark All as Read button in the toolbar, shortcut ⌘D on your keyboard, and menu item Folder > Mark All as Read.

In the feeds list or article list?

We forgot to test the "Open feeds list" behavior on a large model iPhone. This oversight will be corrected in the next update.

Do you have a Max or Plus model?

Take note that prefilters only filter new articles when downloading, they don't delete existing articles in the database. Or do you mean the prefilters are not synced with your iMac?

This will be fixed in the next update.
