Hey! ( ´ ∀ ` )ﾉ I turned my DML skirt inside out and put it into a delicates bag. I then washed it with cold water on a cycle that has a low/slow spin. I then put it on a clothes horse to dry, I wouldn’t recommend using a dryer. A lot of people suggest hand washing to minimise damage as well.

After four wash cycles and a soak in vinegar, my Dear My Love skirt no longer smells like an ashtray. Success! (´ ∀ ` *)

I bought the piece via a proxy website called FromJapan. The seller definitely didn’t disclose that the product came from a smoking home or that there was a strong smell attached to the piece. I probably should provide some feedback.

Especially when pieces are often $50 and above. ( ; ω ; ) You’d want to try take care of them as best as you can.

I ran into an old co-worker randomly last night, who I hadn’t seen in many years. I asked if she had been seeing anyone, she said she hadn’t as the quality of people you find in our area isn’t great. I agreed and commented that I was lucky my husband found my dumbass and married me.

I’ve been back home for almost two weeks and I’m still feeling the post-Japan trip depression.
