Vyacheslav Leontyev, head of the Pravda publishing house, has died suddenly in Moscow. Pravda (Truth) was the official newspaper of the Communist Party in the Soviet Union. He died after falling out of a window from his 8th-floor Moscow apartment.

If this were really about crime, there’d be warrants, hearings, charges. Instead there’s silence, smoke, and smashed doors. A long drawn out foreclosure instantly turns into a corporate asset to Wells Fargo. A community disappears. And no one in power calls it what it is, state-sponsored theft.

Shocked I am to start seeing reports that ICE was more or less doing eviction and anti-tenant union enforcement for slumlords in Chicago under pretense of actually having a purpose that isn’t being the racist exploitation enforcement arm of capital.

More reporting about how that ICE raid in South Shore might have been as much about evicting all the residents of the building for Wells Fargo as it was to kidnap migrants without due process.

The recent ICE raid which emptied an entire apartment building was apparently at the request of Wells Fargo, which is trying to foreclose on the building.
