We can’t live in a state of paranoia, which also leads to misperceptions.

But we can stay conscious of the fact that we are lied to, often and repeatedly. At no time is this more true than the run up to and during wars.

And we can live with a healthy degree of skepticism and engage in discernment.

Sometimes people like me who try to assess real political dynamics beneath the public theater are considered conspiracists. Hopefully how this played out will help more folks understand how much of the narrative we are told is just that: a story. News media is often used to conceal more than reveal.

The idea of a legislative body representing the population having the ability to check the ultimate power of a country’s leader sounds really neat. Someone should write that down.
