Considering our reputation as a grey and rainy place domestic solar power Scotland is v effective. Data from my roof so far this year: 1) generated more than I've used (all my heating and hot water is electric so I use a lot) 2) sold surplus back to the grid for over £400.

I'm back visiting Wheathampsead, the village where I was born. Many things seem unchanged, but standing in this familiar-but-no-longer-empty field I realise I am older than a substantial tree! #ArborealTime

We're doing an early bird rate. Although it is a Scottish conference the programme will be relevant across UK and beyond. Edinburgh has great transport links and we always give a warm welcome to those from other nations.

Exactly Liz, nothing represents 'our national culture' more than Greek statues made in Greece by Greeks.

Tough work! I laboured on a farm as a summer job. Worse bit was stacking hay bales up into the decreasing roof space of the barn - dust, heat and hands getting torn to shreds by the baler string.... So much heavier than they look!
