Over 1,000 Ubisoft workers around the world have walked off the job.
In response to a return-to-office mandate, layoffs, and the cancellation of several games, workers launched a three-day strike.
The workers walked out in response to five French unions issuing the strike call.
Working together and speaking up in unison is how we get things done!

A typed response with a background of different shades of red and titled "The Canadian Animation Guild" The main text reads: "In a time of record low film & animation work being greenlit worldwide, the Canadian Animation Guild - IATSE Local 938 is deeply concerned about Walt Disneyβs decision to invest $1 billion USD into OpenAI, and feeding its generative models with hundreds of hoursβ worth of artistsβ labour. The financial reality, and the unpopularity of OpenAI among artists and the public makes it clear: there is no pot of gold to be found at the end of this investment hype cycle. The true path to sustainable economic growth in the entertainment industry remains today what it has always been: to invest in the human talent to create lasting stories that inspire future generations. Itβs the skill and passion of thousands of regular people β not corporate executives or tech financiers β that have built the entertainment industry. It is them, and them alone, that will rebuild it. Our union will continue to organize for an animation industry whose workers are rightfully recognized as the indispensable engine of artistic creation. CAG 938 Executive Board"

The Executive Board of CAG 938 would like to sincerely thank all of the workers at Titmouse Vancouver who volunteered their time in the Bargaining Committee, at the bargaining table, and showing up for our rally for Leads! What's in Titmouse Vancouver's new tentative agreement?
The return of accrued vacation! Payouts per paycheque are good, but a majority told us it felt like they couldn't afford to actually take that vacation! Now it's best of both worlds - paid vacation & payout of unused vacation at contract end!
