So the US asked Israel to launch the attack on Iran [which the two countries planned together], in order to give the US war dubious legal cover. Once Israel attacked, Iran was likely to retaliate against the US, ergo US attack on Iran is defensive. QED.

Suez, the slapstick version.

This is without, as you rightly say, any pretence of generating a "precise" mark for an individual viva, but using a coarse-grained rubric and many individual points of assessment.

Perhaps not everyone would think of it as a "viva", but we do about 200 every Wednesday morning in our department. A small battalion of well-trained GTAs do much of our Y2 lab assessment that way.

Given economists' track records at making accurate predictions, maybe *they* are replaceable by AI...

Take a minute to marvel at the ineptness of this AI and to enjoy everybody dunking on it in the replies but, once you have done that, I have a serious point.

The racist arseholes *have* to turn to AI for their vision of the past because it is *fictional*. Genuine stock footage doesn't support it.

Grammarly Revisited - Carleton College A close look at Grammarly's new AI tools

This (about the 'new' Grammarly AI toolset) is absolutely terrifying, not because the tool is good, but because it is an easy, all-in-one, way to avoid thinking any thoughts or doing any work at all *and 3000 universities say its OK to use*.

Particularly annoying were the ones where bits of chemical structures were included, but you had to fill in other bits. That did not promote cognition, but rather a laser-focus in whether you'd got that stereocentre right, or caught the other deprotection on the C ring of whogivesafuckamicin.

Just checking, it's now ok to flee your homeland, because you're afraid for your safety, and seek refuge in another Country?

Glad we've cleared that up. Let's hear no more about immigration and refugees then.

Not sure if Man United owner Jim Ratcliffe will see this being as he literally migrated to Monaco to avoid paying tax in the UK, but we wanted to put this up outside the stadium anyway….

Almost impossible to get across how strongly a former foreign office head must feel about Antonia Romeo's potential appointment as cabinet secretary to make this intervention (from 11 mins in or so)

Seems like a slow way to achieve gentrification in Birmingham. Probably easier to start by emptying the bins, and/or a live test firing of a Trident missile.
