As pre-tenure faculty, the eradication of federal funds for research is stressful. So is supporting my international students, and seeing politicians use of rhetoric of terror daily. Academic leaders need to address wellbeing among faculty, students, and staff- beyond grant expectations for tenure.

We are excited for our 2025 Delphi Award winners and grateful for our partnership with @aacu.org! Montclair State University and Florida Gulf Coast University will receive awards at January's AAC&U meeting.

I was recently selected for University of Alabama's Emerging Leaders Program, which focuses on developing knowledge and skills related to academic administration. It's so cool that this will also benefit my scholarship on faculty. And I'm already thinking about starting the next #assdeans account.

Excited to have contributed to this scholarship and that it's getting attention.

Unionizing faculty is a powerful tool for gaining protections for academic freedom for all faculty and for supporting VITAL contingent faculty to earn a livable wage, better job security, and access to benefits. The Delphi Project at @uscpullias.bsky.social has research about the power of unions.

This report provides evidence that professional development designed for VITAL faculty promotes their sense of belonging, knowledge of campus resources, and leadership self-efficacy.

The pause on federal funding is simply unethical. Not to mention the impact on our research. I'm devastated.

Trump’s Project 2025 ghostwriters Exposed PDF metadata from the Office of Personnel Management reveals that Heritage Foundation-linked Trump devotees are writing policies at federal agencies.

"Official" memos written by non-federal authors with ties to Project 2025. OMB "takeover." Essential federal funding paused. These are huge social issues. NSF also paused all grant panels, where I have two submissions in. This is personal. All heartbreaking.

I'm a tenure-track Assistant Professor. Today, a tenured department colleague said, "Wait- you don't have tenure? But you do so much." It was both affirming and disheartening, because my college won't let me go up for tenure for at least another two years. #FacultyLife #HigherEd #AcademicSky
