What is it about being by myself for more than an hour, and having nothing to do in that time, that makes me start hating myself?? I just immediately start thinking I’m unlovable and boring and all the bad things that are NOT at all true.

I usually have at least three going plus an audio book as a backup if I don’t have one with me lol

Confession: My books get a little beat up.

Don’t get me wrong, I take care of them! But they’re not preserved or anything. I crack a spine if I have to, I fold corners. I fold the bottom corner of pages I like. I WRITE in my classics. I travel with a book or two in my bag at all times.

If you’re looking for more books like the banned book list, I’d recommend On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong. It’s written as a letter to the narrator, “little dog”s mother in which discusses his life as a gay Vietnamese American immigrant . Life changing read, for sure. #booksky 📚💙

A current read is Vicious by V.E. Shwab and let me tell you,,, I cannot put it down. Started it with the intention of a slow read and I’m now 3/4 of the way through lol. #booksky 💙📚
