Itโ€™s very important to remember that that we knew Brewdog were wankers the monent charged 9 quid for 1/3rd and had a manifesto.

Labour just announced energy price cap dropped.
Oil just spiked, completely undoing that.
Given 50% of UK energy is from renewables, now is the time to renationalise and drop the dumbass marginal price system that makes green energy needlessly as expensive as gas.

Like, who is this for?
Britonโ€™s overwhelmingly donโ€™t want to enter war with Iran. I imagine the kids on Tiktok are a massive part of that.
And if there are reasons why we would, make the argument like an adult. Not just, โ€œwar is cool, here is 80โ€™s soft rockโ€.
Fml weโ€™re doomed.

Thereโ€™s a large part of me that wants to go through each franchise here and explain why MAGA entirely misunderstand it.

Except for Iron Man. Fuck Iron Man. The rise of libertarian techbros dabbling with authoritarian politics and the popularity of Tony Stark isnโ€™t a coincidence.

Some of the best people Iโ€™ve bribed to get out of my sight are black.

A fiction author can do anything, weโ€™re bound by the facts science communication, science and society, public understanding of science, science & the media, research

My research is featured on the Public Understanding of Science blog with a brief introduction to our paper published in their journal (here: journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...) and the toolkit which can be download here: livrepository.liverpool.ac.uk/3194747/

Paying people more than the average national salary to leave rather than letting them work, pay taxes them and but things sounds like wicked smart economics.

Wild that for as long I can remember thereโ€™s been endless hand wringing from the American comics industry about its decline and what they can learn from Manga etc etc etc, meanwhile 2000AD just be out here sticking judge helmets on dinosaurs and balling

This week we had the privilege of working with an independent bookshop, meeting truly passionate teachers and talking to kids about comic books. We saw there are still communities out there passionate about books.

Thereโ€™s magic in those old tomes yโ€™know.

And despite everything, kids know it.

(I think honestly this stat is kind of meaningless unless you're comparing it to what boomers believed when they were 20, because I strongly doubt young men in 1965 were such feminists. A lot of young men have idiotic ideas about relationships that crumble on their first actual contact with a woman)

You think thatโ€™s bad?
Amazon have access to more WBD titles and sell them for profit while independent booksellers, who pay l for that stock, have to take vouchers and often donate books.
Also, McDonalds giving out vouchers? Actually theyโ€™re getting good press as they offload costs to book retailers

My goal in the office today will be to listen to as much of Field Musicโ€™s back catalogue as possible.

Probably also some work.

Heck UK comics was pretty nuts.
One say 2000AD slips into your Beano subscription and suddenly the Bash Street Kids seem tame compared to Slaineโ€™s Warp Spasm
