I miss being bullied by you and honestly it's both a comfort and a curse seeing all of you diving into new survival games together. It's missing out, sure, but it's also you all finding enjoyment in these hard days. Maybe someday I can join the cool kids again, but I don't want to force it.

Maybe the ordeal made her afraid to live like before. Sometimes being faced with your own mortality makes you afraid of life; you grow more comfortable with the dying part of life over the living part.

I won't pretend to know what she might be thinking but it almost sounds like the "no tomorrow" mindset where one doesn't really live for the future anymore, they just live in the day.

What’s worse, this person shows ZERO respect for anyone that’s helped them and even threatened one behind their back. There comes a point when people need to be responsible for their own choices and carry their own weight. Cancer isn’t a choice but wasting the money she needs for it is.

I found out they’ve used and taken advantage of everyone who dared extend the proverbial olive branch to them. All of their misfortunes were caused by their own poor life choices and they just keep making more, and they drag others down with them. Everything was given to them and wasted.

I’ve know my roommate for 16 years and even since the beginning I’ve been supporting them, helping them keep a roof over their head, buying them food and games because I felt sorry for them. Even now as they live under my roof, I can’t just throw them out as much as I should.

I’m kind of in a similar position so I can understand this. Granted the person in question isn’t suffering on the same level as your friend, they’re just extremely irresponsible and not quite at adult-level maturity and it’s put them in a bad spot.
