don't really understand this framing, which is so common. the idea that doctrinal courses don't equip you to "practice" makes no sense. there are lots of things you learn that you need to practice, even if they don't teach you how to respond to interrogatories.

Very concerning development at the FDA, which cleared robotic-assisted surgery for nipple-sparing mastectomy. FDA had twice warned against the procedure, and there is a current IDE to study it. This undermines trust in FDA and the clinical trial process.

There are uses of AI that are very problematic for an academic - and should be avoided. And there are others that are benign. Identifying the malignant ones is not wrong, it’s required

When AI is correct, we do better. When AI is worse, we do worse.
