Yes, and especially with parents, it’s their job to show their children what is normal and what is not. So one just gaslights themselves until they meet other people who say: no, it was in fact abuse.

It depends on how a particular synthetic dataset is made/generated, which techniques are used. It’s in no way neutral either. In a way, the use of synthetic data only obscures the existing problems with data, not solves them.
