The young commander who got all the hot goss from granny Kang is a Li, but works for a general under Wei command, which is sus. And I think that's pretty much it!

I am also trying very hard to keep track, but I think the main thing to keep in mind is that the evil prime minister is Linghe's uncle and also very shady (Wei faction), and his main rival is the grand tutor (Li faction). They were involved in whatever happened 16 years ago.

Oh her pretty face is mentioned a few times! But she doesn't have her own wind machine, it's true. Anyway, I have clearly fallen for her big eyes and soft lips~~ and rosy cheeks and cannot be reasoned with. 😄

Oh for sure she also needed the big eyes and tiny waist, but that's just general drama convention. 😄 (I will also note that when he says, but what if I never fully heal, why would you marry a c-word, she literally says, you're very hot. The villagers have the same reaction. It goes both ways!)

Just off the top of my head, she carried him home to nurse back to health, pawned off her most precious possession to buy medicine for him, put her whole neighborhood in danger by hiding him from the refugee collectors, repeatedly promised to protect and provide for him, and is ALSO. v v v pretty.

Yeah, close to 30 years as well, and I found the sight of raw meat very off-putting even when I ways still eating it. So as a warning, raw meat is being handled at various points, with close-ups, and I wouldn't describe the show's general attitude towards the pigs as... very sympathetic. 😬👍

That is definitely not a tentacle. 😄 I don't know what it is, but that is not a tentacle. At first it looked a bit like hat feathers to me, like from a pheasant or something, to go with that maybe-a-headpiece? But the texture looks more like fur. I guess we'll find out at some later point!

To be fair, eyes and mouth are like. A major part of one's face. 😄 Actors typically use their faces to convey emotions? I agree it's a very stylized aesthetic, but to me it has warm fairytale vibes. Everything is very saturated and beautiful, but it looks more lived in than fake to me.
