Sypnosis read: At first, static. Then a face appears on the screen, that of a man in his mid-to-late thirties. Cold and slightly gaunt, with pyritically golden eyes and a piercing gaze. Viktor’s breath hitches, heart pounding in his chest. He’s never seen his own face. But he knows, without a doubt — this is him. “My name is Viktor S.,” says the man with his face, looking down at the stack of cards in his hands, “I am making this video roughly two hours before it will be shown to me.” He flips to the next card. “I have, of my own free accord, undergone the procedure colloquially known as Severance.” Viktor S. wakes up with a hole in his head. Then he wakes up at Lumon. As he reluctantly settles into his new life on the Severed Floor, drawn to the handsome and kind Jayce T., the mystery of who his Outie is and why he put Viktor on the Severed Floor begins to unravel when they activate the Overtime Contingency. Viktor S. wakes up on the outside, and he goes looking for Jayce Talis.
