This is so profoundly true. I voted for Harris and do not feel guilty for it. But just because I chose a person I believe would do a better job, does not mean the party isn’t rotten or that she is without fault. We have to STOP glossing over atrocity.

Nope. I spent the day watching an MLK doc with my kids followed by A Bug’s Life. Then we played games and took a nap. Only thing more important that happened was all the incredible marches I saw for MLK. ❤️❤️❤️

The misinformation on TikTok right now is nothing short of staggering. The worst part is I am seeing it supported by “the left”. I can’t tell if it’s plant/bot accounts predominantly or if we are just failing to think critically. #whatsGoingOn

I am holding only to my knowledge that my tether can never really be severed because I’ve finally secured it to my divine self. Tomorrow seems less certain than ever but the now feels eternal. Outcomes no longer feel real. Only now.

How does this change anything tho? The precedent has been set. Our #FirstAmendmentRights no longer exist. They decided that UNANIMOUSLY. How are the implications of this lost on so many? They’ve solidified their power in a way they don’t have to pretend anymore.

And THIS is what is ultimately so unsettling. THIS is why I don’t understand the lack of vocal outrage by the majority

It makes sense they can’t relate to my profound sense of grief or how it matches the days after the death of my beloved sister. They weren’t there to watch strangers pour love and energy into a community that supported me and helped me heal that very loss. But how do they not see THEIR loss??

It’s even more disturbing to me now to look around and see so many who DID see what I saw from the beginning and deny adamantly what’s happening NOW. To see and hear so many dismiss the #tiktokban as Gen-Z losing their dancing app has me disillusioned in a way I never thought possible.

Hour one without tiktok. I went outside and built a fire from leaves and sticks. I foraged for my dinner and died from listeria

I remember my complete confusion while watching the exact same speech that horrified me yet was celebrated by others. My whole life I’d been chastised for speaking too bluntly only to see the same people champion a brutal bully and crass conman.

I remember very clearly when I first found out the angry orange was running for POTUS. I remember being shocked THEN when I spoke with friends, family, and colleagues and being BAFFLED by how they didn’t remember his history of bankrupting his businesses or his repulsive behavior toward women.

It’s a cat in a box.

I know I saw it LONG before I had even heard of TikTok. That’s why I know it’s not just a TikTok perspective. But it’s affirming to hear that from you.

When you buy name brand cereal for the first time in years because it’s on sale cheaper than the generic but it tastes NO WRONG now 😭😭
