My very first pokemon when I was 7 was a Charmander named George.

I trained my second charmander in college. Named him Henry.

Now I'm playing Fire Red with my 7-year-old daughter, & I decided to keep this apparently life-long alphabetic pattern going, so I named the new char-monster Ike.

The bad class is over now I can play Pokemon.

This grief is probably inevitable. Birth pains. Transitions are terrifying bc they involve destroying what came before. But saying that doesn’t make it less difficult.

I’m sorry. It’s not because I’m tired of hearing you, it’s because I feel powerless to help. Fwiw I agree with your friends, this transition has been rough on you, but it will probably pass & you’ll be happier for it in the end…I just know from exp. that isn’t reassuring when you feel bad NOW :/
