It is not a straightforward story because it hasn’t been a straightforward journey, and there have been wiggles twists turns and bits of serendipity and some other things I don’t think even I understand, so that all I can do is to tell you the story of what happened.

This is actually true of all the dates. So scary out there at the moment for all of us, and my bottom isn’t as nice as @katenash so I’d probably only get sixpence for mine (see Blackadder II).

Promotors in rural venues such as this one - Lazonby Village Hall - take big risks to put on artists that are new to venues and areas. I’m so grateful to them for this and I need your help to prove their faith in me.

I have not played Cumbria for years. I’m hereby putting out a klaxon call to all good people of the Lake District to please not only come, and get your tickets now, but to tell all your friends, bring your nan, and allow me and @jonthorneinsta to put you in an audial song bath for an hour or two.

Tour date 20 finds me in Lazonby, Penrith in Cumbria. I’ll be singing my heart out, singing songs from my five previous records and then the new one WILDFIRES (part 1 this night).
