The sky is blue with puffy clouds and brick buildings are on the distant horizon. the sky and sun reflect off the water in the tank. the foreground seemingly connects to the distant buildings as a catwalk on the left extends from out-of-frame bottom towards the horizon.
sewage is water with life experience.
it reflects the choices we make and carries with it the residue of our yesterdays and years.
it can unsettle us—until we realize it was once a part of us. our pasts make us who we are today.
and can inspire us to be better tomorrow.

Our ancestor was sweating and strategizing in small towns and big cities. He seeded dreams of “maybe” and “why not.”

Today, Feb 5, is the birthday of Trayvon Martin. He died at 17, shot and killed in Sanford, FL.
Trayvon was polite, caring & shy. An extension of his introversion, he wore a hoodie everywhere, no matter the weather. He loved football, video games, & listening to music, but his passion was aviation.
😳🤩

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
Also, Rachel Maddow’s podcast, Burn Order, is a must listen. The story about how American citizens were treated must not be forgotten.

Pew Research Institute (2023):
• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants
• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants
• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.
And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."
It's *not* about immigration.
