Republicans in Congress could bring all of this to an end today. But they won’t. They aren’t innocent bystanders, they are accomplices.

Only illegal to the extent there’s actually a Congress willing to bring the constitutional complaint to assert its power to declare war and a Supreme Court willing to adjudicate the facts here in their favor. This congress ceded its power long ago. SCOTUS might not even back them if they did.

We lost our dog to cancer last July. Every time I accidentally drop some tasty morsel on the kitchen floor, it hurts knowing she’s not here for it.

I don’t think he’ll face any real consequences for this. At least not the current action. Maybe if things go badly wrong in the aftermath. But right now I suspect there are those that condemn, those that remain silent, and those who won’t lift a finger. The circles overlap significantly…
